On November 4th, 2019 at 17:30 pm,, a ship carrying 130 liquefied natural gas (hereinafter referred to as LNG) tank containers set sail north from Yangpu Port in Hainan province, bound for Shandong and Liaoning province. The move is the National Development and Reform Commission, energy bureau, the ministry of communications three ministries jointly approved innovation of LNG transportation pilot project, is the first use of LNG tank transportation, the Hainan terminal surplus capacity to the northern region attempt, to meet the north of winter clean heating demand, ensure the safety of gas supply is of great significance. The 130 LNG tanks responsible for the gas supply and transportation are all developed and manufactured by Nantong CIMC Energy Equipment Co., LTD., a subsidiary of CIMC Group.
